Email marketing has a typical ROI of $42 for every $1 spent. Data from Statista suggests the global revenue from email marketing will reach $17.9 billion by 2027…

1. Offer Valuable Incentives

People are more likely to subscribe to your email list if they see immediate value. Offer incentives like exclusive discounts, free eBooks, or access to special content. For example, "Subscribe now and get 20% off your first purchase" is a compelling offer that can attract new subscribers.

2. Create Engaging and Relevant Content

High-quality, relevant content keeps your subscribers engaged and encourages them to stay on your list. Share blog posts, tutorials, industry news, and special offers that align with their interests.

Consistently providing value through your emails will help build trust and loyalty.

Some of the best email marketing platforms include, MailChimp (least expensive, not user-friendly, Klaviyo (most advanced, best for product businesses), Flodesk (easiest to use, limited customization settings).

I personally use Klaviyo for my product based business and Flodesk for digital products. Both are amazing for what I use them for. Klaviyo is the best for selling on a regular basis and advanced customization. Flodesk is simple to use; however, it is more expensive per month.

They all offer a free trial.


3. Use Eye-Catching Sign-Up Forms

Place sign-up forms strategically on your website where visitors are most likely to see them, such as the homepage, blog posts, and checkout pages.

Ensure your forms are visually appealing and easy to fill out. Using pop-ups with enticing offers can also significantly increase sign-ups.

4. Leverage Social Media

Promote your email list on social media platforms to reach a broader audience. Use call-to-action posts, stories, and ads to encourage your followers to subscribe.

Hosting giveaways and contests that require an email subscription to enter can also drive significant sign-ups.

5. Personalize Your Emails

Personalization can significantly impact your email marketing success. Use your subscribers' names, recommend products based on past purchases, and tailor content to their preferences. (You can get help from the email marketing platform you are using.)

Personalized emails create a more intimate connection with your audience, leading to higher engagement and conversion rates.

6. Optimize for Mobile Devices

Ensure your emails are mobile-friendly, as a large percentage of users access their emails via smartphones. Use responsive design, concise subject lines, and clear calls-to-action to enhance the mobile experience.

As of September 2023, 81% of emails are opened on mobile devices, and some estimates say that as many as 55–65% of emails are read on mobile devices.
